Marilyn Minter: Pretty/Dirty

Organizing Co-Curator

Marilyn Minter: Pretty/Dirty was the first retrospective of Minter’s sensual paintings, photographs, and videos vividly exploring complex and contradictory emotions around beauty and the feminine body in American culture.

It was co-organized by the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, curated by Elissa Auther and Bill Arning; the Brooklyn presentation was organized by Carmen Hermo and Catherine Morris (Sackler Family Curator, Brooklyn Museum).
