Featuring major works by artists Dana Birnbaum, Shu Lea Cheang, Adama Delphine Fawundu, Ja’Tovia Gary, Mona Hatoum, amond others, the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC hosted a day-long screening of video and film by feminist artists and filmmakers, from the 1970s to today, whose works complicate and deepen our understanding of representation and institutions “counting” women artists.
